Marketing By Email-Followup And Broadcast Messages

I have been Marketing by email online now for a few years and like most people who just start out not knowing how important a list was to me.

When you have a list of people to market to its like having your own cash machine.

If you use your list right you should get a lot of response from it when you want to advertise a program whether is be free or paid.

To Start a list you must have an auto-responder I use Aweber for all my auto-responder needs.

I would like to explain the difference in a followup message and a Broadcast message when dealing with auto-responders.

Followup Messages

These are the messages that you setup in your Auto-responder program and are sent out to your subscribers automatically when they fill the form out on your website.

Lets say Jim Brown joined your list and he received his welcome email from your auto-responder, Jim would be subscribed to your followup messages and he would get them Automatically.

He would keep getting your followup emails for as long as you set them for in your auto-responder. I have an email series in my auto-responder that will last for one year.

Broadcast Messages

A broadcast message is a bit different from a followup message. You would only send out a broadcast message if you wanted to advertise a product that you would like to giveaway to your list or to sell to your list.

These types of messages don't go out as often as a followup email message they tend to go out once a week with special offers or news about the program your in etc.

If you was going to do a list swap with someone else you would use a broadcast message to send the email out to your list.

Marketing by email is a very effective way of marketing and will be well into the future. Building a list is one of the most important things you can do in your marketing efforts.
